British Canoeing Paddle Sport Leader Assessment Guinea Pigs

Paddle Sport Leader Assessment Guinea Pigs FREE

Paddle Sport Leader Assessment Guinea Pigs FREE

Paddle Sport Leader Assessment Guinea Pigs play a crucial role during a candidates assessment to become a British Canoeing Paddle Sport Leader. During the day you will be led in a sheltered water environment (no more than 200m from an accessible bank and in winds upto force 3) and on slow moving rivers in your chosen craft.

As a Guinea Pig you are expected to have some experience in your chosen craft and be completely self-sufficient. I.E. Have your own paddling kit, own boat or board suitable for journeying and your own transport.
We kindly ask that you give as much notice as possible should you need to cancel, as this could affect the candidates being assessed.

These assessments usually take place in the Lake District and we usually meet at the south end of Windermere (you will receive a set of course information, including a meeting location and timings upon booking).

This is a great opportunity for some FREE guiding and basic coaching in your chosen craft. It is also a great way to see what involved with becoming a Paddle Sport Leader.

UPON BOOKING, PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU TELL US WHAT CRAFT YOU WILL BE PADDLING AND GIVE US A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE ON THE WATER VIA EMAIL. chris.quigley@andertoncentre.co.uk
